Oatmeal Bread

1 C. oatmeal1 package dry yeast
2 t. salt1/3 C. warm water
½ C. molasses5 1/2 C. flour
4 T. Shortening 

Instructions

Pour 1 pint boiling water over oatmeal, salt molasses and shortening.
Let stand until cool.
Add dry yeast to 1/3 C. warm water.
Add oatmeal mixture to yeast.
Add flour as needed.
Knead 100 times.
Place in 2 large bread pans or 3 small bread pans.
Let rise until double in size.
Bake at 375 degrees 45 minutes.
After baking rub with margarine.
