Applesauce Cake

1/2 C. shortening1 t. baking powder
1 C. sugar1 t. Cinnamon
1 egg1/2 t. Allspice
1 C. thick sweet applesauce1/2 t. nutmeg
2 C. cake flour1/4 t. cloves
1 t. saltRaisins
1 t. sodaNuts

Instructions

Cream together: shortening and sugar. Add; egg and blend in applesauce.
Sift together: cake flour, salt, soda, baking powder, cinnamon, allspice, nutmeg and cloves.
Blend into creamed mixture. Stir in raisins and nuts. Turn into greased 8-inch pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 50-60 minutes.
