Fudge Icing

2 cup sugar1 T. butter or margarine
2 Squares chocolate1/2 cup milk
1/2 cup shortening1/4 t. salt
1/4 cup light corn syrup1 t. vanilla

Instructions

Mix in pan and stir thoroughly. Stir over heat until chocolate and shortening melt. Stirring, bring to rapid boil. Boil exactly 1 minute. Remove from heat, and beat gently. Add vanilla. Beat until icing begins to lose gloss and is of spreading consistency.
