Chicken Caccatore

1/2 C. water1/2 t. garlic powder
1 small onion1 leaf oregano, crumbled
1 cam tomatoes1/8 t. pepper
1/2 C. puree or sauce1 chicken cut up

Instructions

Boil water and onion in pan until tender. Do not drain. Add tomatoes, puree, garlic, oregano and pepper.
Simmer for 10 minutes to blend flavors.
Place chicken in a large pan and pour over the tomato mixture and cook over low heat until tender, about 45 minutes.
Uncover and cook for 15 minutes longer to thicken sauce.
Makes 4 servings.
