(Recipe I got from uncle Hans Rome)

14 C. white flour7 C. milk
7 C. whole-wheat flourLeaf lard
4 large cooked mashed potatoes Salt for middle of loaf
Salt - small handful Thyme
5 t. baking powder 2 Onions chopped
2 T. Allspice Allspice for middle of loaf

Instructions

Mix together white flour, whole-wheat flour, potatoes, salt, baking powder, and allspice.
Mix well.
Add milk and mix and knead well. Form patties about 8 inches around. In the middle, put 6 cubes leaf lard, a little salt, thyme, chopped onions and some allspice. Fold over, pinch edges together.
Boil for 3 hours stiring occasionally so they don't stick.

Meal serving: Slice 2 or 3 loaves and fry in olive oil. Remove when brown on both sides and continue cooking until all slices are cooked. Place all slices back in pan and add some canned milk or cream and simmer until thick.

Enjoy
